Occasionally, things may go wrong, or you may experience circumstances outside of your control that may impact your academic assessment, award, or progression.
The Registry is responsible for dealing with student representations against their examination results, and for appeals from students who have been informed by their departments that they must withdraw from the College.
Please read the information and guidance notes carefully before submitting your appeal.
For independent advice and information, please contact the Student Union Advice Centre.
Research Degree Appeals can be made:
- Against a decision by their department not to confirm their registration for PhD at the early or late stage assessment (MPhil to PhD transfer appeals committee [pdf])
- Against the result of the examination (Representations by Candidates for Research Degrees [pdf])
- Against the requirement to withdraw due to unsatisfactory academic progress (Withdrawal Appeal [pdf])
